Angelina's Tea Room has been delighting Parisians and visitors to Paris since 1903. It has been frequented by such notables as Proust and Coco Chanel and more recently by expat bloggers living in Paris and moi. For 20€ at breakfast you can have:
- lemon, orange or grapefruit juice;
- tea, coffee or hot chocolate;
- 3 viennoiseries;
- bread with jam.
Whilst not exactly cheap the tea room is beautiful and does make a beautiful setting for a special breakfast. Purely in the interest of research for the blog, I ordered the famous hot chocolate and can confirm that it was thick and not too sweet. Absolutely delicious.

Whether you are planning on visiting France, or even further afield in some cases, and want some inside information or tips, or perhaps you are in need of a bit of a Paris fix, then I can definitely recommend these sites.
After breakfast I headed to the Left Bank with Destination Europe and Island Girl. We visited the Bibliothèque Mazarine at L'Institut de France. To enter the library you enter through the security area to the left of the imposing main portal. You are not usually allowed to enter the Institute so you do need to explain that you want to access the library. You will be asked to leave your ID with the guard. At the library door documentation is available in English as well as French to make the most of your visit. No photos are allowed. Keep an eye out for the hidden doors in the bookcases. The library is not probably a site for the first time visitor to France but for those that are returning and are interested in French language and culture it can certainly be an interesting side visit. It is free to enter and I think most visitors would find an hour would be more than adequate time
